Years in business: Mobile bookstore opened in 2025, the physical location is opening during the crawl!

Fun fact: Our store was started due to a breast cancer scare. We've been able to serve many readers who have walked through cancer and are currently fighting. We feel so blessed to be a safe space for dreamers of all ages, and hope that Charity's story inspires them to chase their dreams, no matter what life might bring.

Forever staff pick: Pride and Prejudice, of course. It's the best (in our opinion) and original yearning and tension novel!

Austen's Shelf is New Jersey's first Jane Austen-inspired mobile bookstore that operated out of a 7x14 cargo trailer and is opening a brick-and-mortar location during the weekend of the crawl.

We offer classics, Jane Austen-inspired bookish items, and books of all genres for all ages. Our store is meant to look like Jane Austen's sitting room with green wallpaper and a hand painted fire place mantle.
