Brooklyn-born, Florida-raised, and New Jersey-rooted, she is a 30-year-old Haitian American with a passion for people, creativity, and culture. Professionally, she works in Human Resources, but beyond her career, she finds joy in reading new stories, writing her own, exploring the world through travel, creating in the kitchen, and expressing herself through fashion and art.
Candice’s 2026 Crawl
I just started my book club, and I’m eager to find new books to share with my members. My ideal crawl would be to buy as many books I like, limited editions, or even find cute knick knacks for my book shelves. I love finding new book stores to take pictures in and finding cozy little corners to read.

Favorite bookstore: My favorite bookstore changes every second, but I do love Source of Knowledge in Newark.
Favorite book accessory: My book ends. I love unique bookends that are whimsical.
A bookstore I’d like to visit: Livraria Lello in Porto, Portugal.
