Years in business: 24
Fun fact: The previous owner of what is now the bookshop operated an insurance office and was a avid Civil War weaponry collector. Upon his demise he donated his collection, valued in excess of $1.5 million dollars, to the West Point Museum. In earlier times there was both a "Pony Express" and a stage coach stop adjacent to the bookshop. The bookshop is located near the historic register enclave "Jugtown Historic District," a well-preserved 18th century crossroads settlement (circa 1730) known for potteries made there (on the site now occupied by the nearby Princeton Firehouse which displays a plaque in its front yard of the pottery operations).
Experience our community: Hoagie Haven (Best ever- couple blocks from bookshop); Whole Earth Center (health food center-vegan lunch menu- across the street from bookshop); Blue Bears (lunch with a Parisian faire-in the Princeton Shopping Center a few blocks north of bookshop); Small World Coffee Shop (close to Hoagie Haven- coffee, tea and snacks).
Staff picks: Long time favorites: British Library Mystery and Library of Congress classic mystery titles, Ross MacDonald, Louise Penny, Donna Leon, S.J Rozan, and list goes on.
