“is a reader, full stop! We are proud to offer books for general readers, academics, children, and anyone who want to deep-dive into almost any topic.”
Years in business: 18
Fun fact: Labyrinth is a proudly independent family business. The first Labyrinth store opened near Columbia University 30 years ago, and our Princeton location (now the only Labyrinth store) has served the community since 2007.
Explore our community: Take a walk through Princeton University’s beautiful campus! Visit Prospect Garden and the newly-renovated Princeton Art Museum. Then get something to eat! Princeton is a great town for coffee and ice cream (check out Small World and The Bent Spoon). For shopping, we recommend a visit to JaZams toy store and, for fashion, a visit to Orvana Collection.
Learn about our events: Labyrinth is proud to partner with the Princeton Public Library and many academic programs at Princeton University to provide cultural and literary programming. These collaborations derive from a commitment to keeping a culture of reading alive and to bridging intellectual and social divides. Sign up for our events newsletter here.

“Labyrinth is an acclaimed community and scholarly independent bookstore that serves not only the students and faculty of Princeton University, but also the town of Princeton and beyond. We carry books of broad and general interest: contemporary and classic literature, poetry, current events, history, philosophy, theology, cookbooks, comics, and books for children. We offer a large selection of constantly-changing inventory, daily sales and deep discounts on most books, used and antiquarian titles, gifts for readers and writers, art supplies, and stationery. We are proud to host a full calendar of author lectures, conversations, and signings.”
