Information for participating shops
When were the crawl guides and postcards sent out?
Like last year, Rutgers University Press sponsored the printing and mailing of our postcards and crawl guides, and they sent them out the week of April 27th. They have to route through Rutgers’s mailing system, so they may take a little longer to arrive than other mail.
What should I do if our store runs out of crawl guides?
We are encouraging people to print their own ahead of time, but if they can't and if a store they visit runs out, we also accept photos taken there or purchase receipts as proof they visited a location. This is largely an honor system thing, I want it to be as stress free for all involved as possible!
How do I need to mark our box on the guide?
Feel free to mark the guides however is easiest for you, whether that's a check mark, an X, a line, a hole punch, a sticker, a stamp, etc. It's fine if your mark isn’t contained in the checkbox on the printed form or if it overlaps with another store’s mark! It’s also fine if different staff members do different things!
Where can I find social media assets and the press release template?
Here is a folder with downloadable design assets that you may use in social media, your newsletters, calendars, etc. If there is something you would like that you don't see in the folder, just ask. Here is a press release template that you can use by plugging in your information. Feel free to use it for any outlets local to you, like TAPinto, Patch, etc. It’s a great way to specifically promote your store and your participation in the larger event.
Can you make a change to my store’s listing page, or add a photo?
Yes, of course! Please email me photos or any other changes you’d like made to your store’s page.
